You will have the right to use ‘TechArborA’ after your name and use the Technician Member Logo on your reports, in your email footers and on business cards.
Eligibility and Application Routes
Qualification route
You can apply through this route if you hold an accepted Level 3 or higher qualification in arboriculture or an appropriate related discipline.
Short certificates of competence, including the Professional Tree Inspection certificate and individual NPTC certificates, are not accepted on their own as equivalent to a broad Level 3 programme of study.
Alternative Technician route
This route recognises applicants who do not hold one broad Level 3 academic qualification but can demonstrate an appropriate combination of:

Continuing professional development

Commitment to professional practice
You will need to submit evidence for assessment.
Maintaining your grade
Technician members must complete and record at least 10 hours of arboricultural CPD each year.
You must also continue to follow the Arboricultural Association’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
