Recognition of your contribution to arboriculture
Fellowship is the Arboricultural Association’s highest membership grade. It recognises individuals who combine substantial knowledge and experience with leadership, service and a significant contribution to arboriculture.
Successful applicants can use the post-nominals FArborA and the Fellow Member logo.

What does Fellowship recognise?
Fellowship is based not only knowledge, experience and dedication to your chosen specialism within Arboriculture, but your contribution to the industry and the Association.
Fellow members are individuals who exemplify the Associations values; and represent the best of arboriculture in their chosen career path. They can be from any specialism; consultancy, contracting, education, local authority/government, or science and research; but what they have in common is a passion for arboriculture, and for sharing this with others.

You will have the right to use ‘FArborA’ after your name and use the Fellow Member Logo on your reports, in your email footers and on business cards. You will also receive our Fellow member pin badge
Eligibility and Application Routes
Eligibility
To apply, you must have held Professional Membership continuously for at least five years.
You will also need to demonstrate that you meet the Fellowship criteria relating to:

How applications are assessed
Fellowship applications are anonymised and considered by a panel of professional peers. The panel may include existing Fellows, Trustees and committee members.
Fellowship is conferred following the panel’s recommendation.
Maintaining your grade
Technician members must complete and record at least 20 hours of arboricultural CPD each year.
You must also continue to follow the Arboricultural Association’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
